Buena Vista Social Club to bring Adios Tour to Turkish citiesThe legendary Cuban musical ensemble Buena Vista Social Club will be in Turkey this fall for two concerts in Ankara and Istanbul as part of their Adios Tour, a global farewell tour before they disband next year after nearly two decades.The star-studded group of veteran Cuban musicians will take to the stage in the Turkish capital on Oct.

23 and then travel to Istanbul to perform on Oct. 24.

Buena Vista’s Ankara concert will take place at the Congresium Ankara International Convention and Exhibition Center (ATO) while their Istanbul performance will be at Black Box Istanbul, the city’s new concert venue. Both performances start at 8 pmThe farewell tour orchestra, which includes some original members of the group such as trumpeter Manuel “Guajiro” Mirabal and laúd virtuoso Barbarito Torres, will be joined by diva Omara Portuondo, as well as other names, such as tres player Papi Oviedo, percussionists Andres Coayo, Filiberto Sanchez and Alberto “La Noche,” as well as singer Idania Valdéz for their performances in Turkey.
