Three injured as bomb explodes on a field in southern Turkey

HATAY: Three people were injured after a bomb exploded on a plain field near Syrian border in the southern province of Hatay’s Rayhanli district on early Wednesday.

The explosion took place at around 2: 15 a.m. at Bahcelievler neighborhood. A 10 meter wide hole occurred on the field after a bomb exploded. Doors and windows of the houses near the field were broken and three people were injured due to damage in their homes. Locals went out of their homes in panic and returned their homes after a while.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

In May 2013, an explosion took place in Reyhanli where 52 people were killed and as many as 100 injured after a car bomb exploded.
