There is both hope and fear in DiyarbakIr

A police officer and a soldier who were killed in separate attacks by the terrorist Kurdistan Workersand’ Party (PKK) in Diyarbakirand’s Dicle and Silvan districts on Thursday were laid to rest in their hometowns on Friday.
An official funeral ceremony was held for Gendarmerie Spc. Sgt. Beytullah Tercan, who died in a clash between PKK terrorists and Turkish security forces near GandOrese Mountain in Dicle district, early on Friday at the Diyarbakir Military Hospital. Diyarbakir Governor Handuseyin Aksoy, 7th Infantry Brigade commander Lt. Gen. ibrahim Yilmaz, 16th Mechanized Infantry Brigade commander Brig. Gen Savai Beyribey, Diyarbakir Chief Public Prosecutor Ramazan Solmaz and other military and civil representatives attended the ceremony. Tercan was buried in his hometown in the Kuluncak district of Malatya province later on Friday. Malatya Governor Sanduleyman Kamandci, Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet andcakir and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy Mustafa iahin were among those who attended the funeral prayers for Tercan, who was then buried in the Aiaii Selimli Cemetary.
Special operations police officer Necmi andcakir, who was killed by a terrorist sniper in Silvan, was also laid to rest in his hometown, the Of district of Trabzon. Around 4,000 people attended the funeral ceremony held in the andcariibaii Banduyanduk Mosque, including Trabzon Governor Abdil Celil andOz, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Orhan Fevzi Gandumrandukandcanduoilu, Trabzon Police Chief Murat KandOksal and many other deputies, family members and friends of andcakir.
andcakir was then buried in a family cemetery in the Siraaiaandc neighborhood.
h2 PKK terrorists attack courthouse in Cizreh2 PKK members carried out an armed attack on a courthouse in iirnakand’s Cizre district at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday.
According to the Dogan news agency, the terrorists fired rockets at the courthouse. They then fired automatic rifles at the building. Police officers guarding the courthouse fired back at the terrorists. No one was injured during the attack, although some windows of the courthouse were broken.
Police officers have launched an extensive operation in the neighborhood where the attack took place.
h2 10 PKK members surrender in southeastern iirnakh2 Ten PKK members have turned themselves in to security forces in Turkeyand’s southeastern province of iirnak, the provinceand’s governorand’s office announced on Thursday. In a written statement released by the iirnak Governorand’s Office, it was reported the members had fled the organization and surrendered to security forces near the town of Silopi. and”The latest surrender brought to 1,009 the number of members of the PKK and the [Kurdistan Communities Union] KCK [a political organization encompassing the PKK] who have turned themselves in to the authorities between March 21, 2013 and Nov. 5, 2015 in iirnak. The judicial authorities are conducting the relevant legal processes regarding the surrendered individuals,and” the statement noted.
h2 6 terrorists killed in Diyarbakirh2 Six terrorists were killed in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir on Nov. 5, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) announced on their official website on Friday.
Three of the terrorists were killed during an ongoing operation against the PKK in Diyarbakirand’s Silvan district. The remaining three were killed also in another ongoing operation taking place in iirnak.
In addition, two suspected terrorist collaborators were detained in Mardin province on charges of and”aiding and abetting terrorists.and”
