The people’s or the state’s president

The people’s or the state’s presidentWhy is the presidency important for Turkey? Why do major politicians want to become president? During the past 10 years, many have seen the bureaucracy as the root of many problems. The state has been associated with the bureaucracy while the government has been associated with the people. When the concept of “military custodianship” stopped being an issue for the state elite, it also fell from public discussion. The same thing applies to the Kurdish question, which is currently under the responsibility of the bureaucracy. Another problem is the events of 1915. The Armenian genocide is no longer a “problem” because the state doesn’t see it as such anymore. The tutelage of bureaucracy prevails. The presidential election will reproduce the dominance of the monopolist bureaucracy.(SEZIN ÖNEY, TARA
