Students with opposing views fight at Ankara University, four injured

ANKARA: Four students were injured and some were detained by the police as a fight broke out between two groups of students who have opposing views at the Ankara University’s language, history and geography faculty on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the dispute broke out between sympathizers of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and members of the Turkish Youth Union (TGB). Students attacked each other with sticks and knives and four were injured during the incident.

Riot police intervened in the incident and took security measures around the campus. Some of the students were detained by the security members and injured were taken to nearby hospital.
