Stashed in fire extinguisher cylinders 10kg of heroin seized in İstanbul

In an operation which was conducted by Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Commandership; 10kg of heroin, stashed in fire extinguisher cylinders, were seized in Turkish metropolitan city of İstanbul.

During the operations, which were carried out in 2015, at least 7kg and 600 grams of narcotic drug packed in the chess set were seized by the gendarmerie teams. Following the physical surveillance, it was learned that hidden in fire extinguisher cylinders, heroin would have been delivered in an addresses located in Esenyurt province with the purpose of selling in Beylikduzu, Buyukcekmece, Catalca, Esenyurt and Silivri districts.

According to the explanation, made by the gendarmerie units that, soon later the operation, held on 28th of November 2015, at least 10kg of heroin stashed in two fire extinguisher cylinders were seized and two suspects named E.Y and MY were detained relating with the incident. “Following their questioning held in the justice court E.Y. and M.Y. were arrested on the charge of producing narcotic and stimulus materials and trading,” was also said in the same explanation.
