Separatists call shut down in valley over youth killing

SRINAGAR (CIHAN)- A complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir valley against the killing of a youth who was allegedly shot dead by paramilitary forces last evening at Nawa Kadal, area in old city of Srinagar.

Strict curfew has been clamped in Nawa Kadal and other areas in the old city. The shutdown was called by separatist groups following the killing of Bashir Ahmad Bhat.

On Wednesday, two youth received bullet injuries immediately after the polling ended at Srinagar’s Nawa Kadal area and the staff was shifting the ballot boxes. Bashir Ahmad Bhat was killed in the firing triggering major protests. The youth was buried in the night.
