Roofs ripped, trees knock down due to heavy storm in western Turkey

A number of trees were knocked down and roofs of houses were ripped off by a strong storm which it western province of Edirne on late Thursday.

Many vehicles were damaged when three fell onto them during the storm. A tree fell onto an underway car which left individuals in the vehicle injured.

Another three people were injured and taken to the hospital when a tree fell onto them. One of the injured students was reported to be in critical condition.

A children’s park was destroyed when more than 20 trees were knocked down in the storm.
