Radio presenter working in Brussels fired for criticizing President Erdogan

A Turkish man who used to work as a raid presenter in Brussels was fired since he directed some criticism at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.

Kenan Erer presenter of program called Kargalarin Kahvaltisi (Breakfast of Crows) was informed by his managers that they cannot stand increasing pressure against the radio and they decided to remove his program. Erer has been dealing with controversial incident in Turkey especially after Gezi Park protests in 2013.

Speaking to the listeners in his last program Erer said he will sing song and write books not to be silent to despotism and pressure. Reaching a wide range of people for two years, Erer said “Armenians, Kurds and people from all parts of this country called to say get well. They all said we stand by your conscience and program,”.

Erer further stated that criticizing Erdogan has been a major object in Turkey. “When you said something about Erdogan, you become traitor or nonbeliever, or you are thoughtless or you don’t like your country,” he added.
