Public Union head: Armenian government penalizes citizens who try to build ties with Azerbaijan

Baku: Those Armenians with sound minds should choose a new leader for themselves, Bayram Safarov, chairman of the Public Union “Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh” and head of the Susha district executive authority, on May 8.

He noted that the current government in Armenia is keeping citizens under pressure.

“What shall we do that we have Armenians as our neighbors? We don’t say that Armenian should leave Karabakh, we just demand they live there respecting the law, constitution, and people of Azerbaijan. It’s a reality that not all Armenians want war. However, the current Armenian regime is keeping them there under pressure. Because the current regime is a group of criminals whose hands have dipped in blood, they penalize those Armenians who try to build ties and negotiate with Azerbaijan. Armenians are conscious of this,” the Public Union head added.
