Pro-government mediaThere are members of the media who are so close to the government that they do not believe the allegations of government corruption, despite the disclosure of bundles of money discovered in shoe boxes [at the home of the former head of the state-run Halkbank during police raids on Dec. 17, 2013 which also implicated the sons of three then-Cabinet ministers].

These members of the media now vehemently defend the andquotspyingandquot probe targeting police officers [most of whom took part in the Dec. 17 raids] in spite of the existence of documents [refuting the spying claims].

It seems that they are trying to disprove the allegations against the government rather than finding out the facts. They described the corruption investigation [of government officials] as a andquotcoup attempt.
