President Aliyev receives Turkish delegation

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Minister of Science, Industry and Technology of Turkey Fikri Işık in Baku on December 2, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The minister conveyed greetings on behalf of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the head of state.

He noted the importance of “BakuTel-2014” Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition.

Işık said they were happy to attend a ministerial meeting on science and technology of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Baku.

Recalling his recent phone conversation with President Erdogan, President Aliyev once again described the fact that Azerbaijan was invited to the meetings and the summit of G20 by Turkey as a good sign of friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries.

President Aliyev said Azerbaijan-Turkey cooperation was successfully developing on all fronts, and stressed the importance of a further expansion of the bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and high technologies.

The minister said the two countries must spare no efforts towards strengthening Azerbaijani nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s “one nation, two states” philosophy.

President Aliyev thanked for the greetings of President Erdogan and Prime Minister Davutoglu, and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the Turkish President and Prime Minister.
