Poroshenko welcomes Erdogan with official ceremony

KIEV: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who has arrived in Ukraine on Friday to attend 4th meeting of Turkish-Ukrainian High Level Cooperation Council, was welcomed by his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko with an official ceremony.

The ceremony held at the Presidential palace in the capital city of Kiev. National anthems of Turkey and Pakistan were recited during the ceremony and Erdogan greeted the soldiers in Ukrainian language. After the reciprocal introduction of delegations of both countries, Presidents moved into the palace to have a tete-a-tete.

Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, Minister of Culture andTourism Omer Celik and Transportation and Maritime Minister Feridun Bilgin are also in the delegation accompanying Erdogan.

After bilateral and inter-delegational meetings Presidents Poroshenko and Erdogan are expected to chair 4th meeting of Turkish-Ukrainian High Level Cooperation Council.
