Police officer suspended for allegedly insulting ErdoIan

Thirteen Kurdistan Workersand’ Party (PKK) terrorists were killed in clashes with the military in Turkeyand’s southeastern provinces of Diyarbakir, Hakkari and iirnak.
The military killed 11 PKK terrorists in a rural area near the town of iemdinli in Hakkari province, the General Staff said in a statement on its website. The army added that two other PKK terrorists were also killed in iirnak and Diyarbakirand’s Silvan district.
The Justice and Development Party (AK Party) won back a parliamentary majority in the Nov. 1 election in a major victory for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has pledged to continue battling the PKK until every last fighter is andquotliquidatedandquot after a two-year cease-fire that he had championed collapsed in July.
Erdogan had granted some political and cultural rights to Turkeyand’s estimated 15 million Kurds, but the government abandoned efforts for a negotiated settlement this year ahead of a June vote, when the AK Party lost its parliamentary majority.
