Police arrest 9 alleged ISIL terrorists preparing attack in Gaziantep

The head of Turkeyand’s Press Council, Pinar Tandurenandc, has filed a complaint at the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) against Ankara 5th Penal Court of Peace judge Yunus Sanduer, who made the controversial ruling to appoint a group of trustees to the ipek Media Group in late October.
In the complaint, the council said the trustees, who have fired 71 employees working at the media group in a very short time, are not impartial and the decision to appoint trustees to the media group violates the Turkish Constitution and international agreements signed by Turkey.
The appointment of trustees to the media group based on Sanduerand’s ruling is an open violation of the publicand’s right to information and freedom of expression, it was said in the complaint.
Pak Media Work (Pak Medya-ii) Union President ismail Topandcuoilu also raised his voice against the appointment of trustees to the ipek Media Group and dismissal of journalists from the group based on the decision of the trustees.

The union head also said he condemns the blocking of access to the andOzgandur Bugandun (Free Bugandun) website, which was launched after trustees were appointed to the Bugandun dailyand’s administration.
The andOzgandur Bugandun website showed a notice on Wednesday that said access to the site had been blocked after a decision by the Istanbul 8th Penal Court of Peace.
