Peshmerga forces arrive in Turkey on way to Kobani

SIRNAK: Convoy of Iraqi Peshmerga fighters arrived in Turkey’s southeastern province of Sırnak on early Wednesday on their way to Syria’s Kobani town to fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Passing through Habur border gate at around 6 a.m. after 16 hours of journey from Erbil, Peshmerga fighters were escorted by Turkish military force.

The fighters will go to Suruc town of Sanlıurfa province and pass through Mursit Pınar border gate to enter Kobani, which is estimated to take seven hours.
