Opposition reports irregularities in expat vote shipment from Germany to Turkey

Opposition deputies have reported that the head of a Germany-based civil society organization that has links with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) took active role in the shipment of expat votes from Germany to Turkey although he is not authorized to do so.
Sanduleyman andcelik, head of the Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD), a pro-AK Party civil society group, reportedly entered the cargo section of the Cologne Bonn Airport as votes cast by Turkish expats in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium were being loaded to the plane although only members of an official board of Turkish political party representatives were authorized to enter the section.
Opposition Republican Peopleandrsquos Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) representatives said they immediately objected to the presence of UETD head in the cargo load area where expat votes were packaged. CHP representative Kazim Sarikaya said andcelik and”hastily got on his car and escapedand” after their reaction. If URTD chairman can easily enter there, we should question whether the votes are safe,and” he said.
MHP representative Behzat KandOrpinar said to get into cargo load area, you need aance clearance security check to pass German customs, adding that the only way for the UETD leader to gain access to cargo area past customs is to pose as a Turkish Airlines employee.
