One killed, three injured after explosion at Turkish magazine office

ISTANBUL: As a result of an explosion at the office of a magazine, Adimlar, one person was killed and three others were injured in Istanbul’s Kagithane district on late Wednesday.

The magazine is affiliated with the radical Great Eastern Islamic Raiders’ Front (IBDA-C). The explosion took place on third floor of a six-storey building in the evening. Crime scene investigation team and a bomb squad conducted an investigation at the scene for five hours. Two armored vehicles kept guard until morning.

Extent of the explosion became more visible in the morning. The office was badly damaged in the explosion, destroying the walls to a great extent.

The reason of the explosion is not known yet.
