No results achieved in searches for 23 oilmen missing in Caspian Sea – special headquarters

Baku: Searches are underway for the 23 oil workers missing after the fire on SOCAR’s offshore platform, Balamirza Agharahimov, chief engineer at Azneft production union said at the briefing.

As of 11:00 (GMT +4), no results have been achieved in the searches for the 23 oil workers missing in the Caspian Sea, said the chief engineer.

He went on to add that helicopters also joined the searches this morning.

According to him, the fire on the platform still continues. “Seven vessels were involved in fire-fighting, and one more vessels will today join the operation,” he said.

Agharahimov also added that searches are continuing for the three oilmen missing after the accident in Oil Rocks.
