New Turkish government will do its utmost for liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories – Davutoglu

Baku: New Turkish government will do its utmost for the liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories, mainly Nagorno-Karabakh and elimination of tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia, says the 64th government program prepared by Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

He also noted that Turkey will make efforts to normalize Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

“We think that it is the only way to restore peace, security and prosperity in the Caucasus. Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia, Turkey-Azerbaijan-Iran and Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan tripartite formats, we established in the Caucasus have begun to yield results. Trade with the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia increased. Further expansion of ties and further strengthening of the Turkish Council in these areas are one of our main goals,” he said.

The program also says that the TANAP project will be carried out during this period under intergovernmental agreement signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
