Foreign and domestic tourist showed great interest to pearl mullets which migrated to fresh water in the eastern province of Van.

Pearl mullet which is the only fish species on Lake Van migrates to Bendimagi and Deliçay streams in the city with the arrival of spring. Tourists gather upon the streams to witness difficult migration. People are amazed by fish which advance conversely to the current. Each year, between April 15 and July 15, fish set up such a difficult journey to lay eggs.
