Men steal two British race horses to collect scrap in western Turkey

KOCAELI: Two British race horses were stolen by a group of men who planned to use them to collect scrap in Turkish western province of Kocaeli on Monday.

The incident took place at Ketenciler village. Reportedly, two race horses named Jeanne d’Arch and Mona were stolen by a group of men. Following a detailed investigation, the gendarmerie detained three men. The men confessed their guilt during interrogation. They said in their statements that they stole the horses to collect scrap since they do not know they are race horses.

The men were sent to court and the horses were taken to their owner by the gendarmerie.
