Lions go for victory run in last League match at Rize

When Galatasaray meets andcaykur Rizespor in the final match day of the Spor Toto Super League season on Saturday, it will not be worrying too much about the outcome.
The Lions are already champions, so they can afford some time off training and a celebratory attitude toward their final match at andcaykur Rizespor on Saturday.
As for Rize, the match does not hold any weight for the Black Sea club either. Rizespor may not have had a stellar season, but it has managed to avoid relegation. If Rize managed to upset Galatasaray for its fans this weekend, the club would be thrilled but if not, nothing major is lost.
The newly crowned champion would have preferred to play the celebratory final match at home in front of its own crowd. The club applied to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to move the match to Istanbul. It was declined.
Galatasaray had earlier appealed to the TFF to schedule those matches involving the championship race and other critical points races to be at the same time. Last weekend the Lions had a derby with Beiiktai, which was the most probable place for them to drop points and risk allowing Fenerbahandce to catch up.
Fenerbahandceand’s tough match against Istanbul Baiakiehir was the following day, meaning the club already knew Galatasarayand’s outcome and what it needed to do to pursue the championship behind the league leader. Typically, two such matches are played simultaneously.
The request was denied but Fenerbahandce failed to pull off the win it needed to dream of overtaking the Lions. Galatasaray was crowned champion for the 20th time to Fenerbahandceand’s 19th, which means the Lions earned a fourth star ahead of their bitter rival.
h2One last thingh2 Official celebrations have already been planned for Sunday with great fanfare, which makes the match seem like something of a frivolity. Galatasaray will go there in good spirit to have fun. The players have just one last thing to think about, and that is the Ziraat Turkish Cup final against Bursaspor on Wednesday.
After that, it is summer break and preparing for the UEFA Champions League next season, probably still with coach Hamza Hamzaoilu and brand new chairman Dursun andOzbek.
and”We did not start out the season well, but we got a good break after that. Our game improved with the arrival of coach Hamza as well, and” keeper Fernando Muslera told the press, according to statements on the club website. and”We have not conceded a goal in seven matches. Football is interesting. In the first half of the season, they would shoot off their balconies and the ball would go in,and” he added.
The cluband’s other critical players include Yasin andOztekin, the midfielder no one knew until Hamzaoilu started putting him on the field. Heand’s become an indispensable part of the squad. Then there is the likes of Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder, who brought goals out of nearly impossible situations to win.
The match will kick off at 1 p.m. At 4 p.m., runner-up Fenerbahandce will play a home match against smaller Istanbul side Kasimpaia.
At 7 p.m., three critical matches will take place between the teams still contesting for a coveted fourth-place finish and thus a final ticket to the UEFA Europa League.
Super League newcomer Istanbul Baiakiehir is in the best position with 58 points, but is playing a tough away game with Mersin idman Yurdu. Bursaspor, which plays Torku Konyaspor at home, and Trabzonspor, which travels to Sivasspor, each have 56.
But Bursa has another chance at the UEFA competition in the Turkish Cup should the Anatolian upstart shock champion Galatasaray on Wednesday.
