Kakava, traditional Roma festival celebrated in western Turkey

EDIRNE: People celebrated traditional Roma festival “Kakava” in the western province of Edirne on Tuesday.

The festivities were celebrated near the Tunca Nehri Lake. In the evening, people gathered around a fire in Sarayici town. Thousands of people celebrated Kakava danced and sang songs until morning around giant fire.

A group of people performed Roma folk dance in traditional outfits. Some people Women apparently drew pictures of their wishes on small pieces of paper and hang them on a wish tree.
