Journalist taken into custody in DiyarbakIr

Journalist Ozan Kiliandc, a board member of the Free Journalists Association (andOGC), was taken from his home and placed in custody in the early morning hours of Thursday by the Diyarbakir police as tensions in the region continue.
The police presented a warrant and searched Kiliandcand’s home, located in the iskenderpaia neighborhood of Sur, at around 5:00 a.m. Both Ozan Kiliandc and a family member, Azad Kiliandc, were held on the ground at gunpoint, according to a report by the Evrensel daily.
The police were unable to find the alleged gun they were told Ozan Kiliandc had and took Kiliandc into custody at the Diyarbakir Police Department.
