Ivorians welcome their president in Istanbul with traditional dance

ISTANBUL: Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara who arrived in Turkish capital of Ankara for an official visit on Thursday, was welcomed in Istanbul’s Ataturk airport on Friday by a group of cheerful Ivorians performing traditional dance shows.

Dozens of Ivorians residing in Turkey gathered in front of state guesthouse at the Ataturk airport hours before President Ouattara’s plane landed. Cheerful group spent their time by performing their national dances, sang songs and played drums. As Ouattara and his spouse walked out of guesthouse’s door, approached the group and greeted them. President and first lady briefly talked with their compatriots and thanked them for their warm welcome.
