ithuanian President arrives in Istanbul by a military aircraft

ISTANBUL: Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, who has arrived in Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday for an official visit, moved to Turkey’s biggest city of Istanbul on Tuesday by a military plane belonging to her country’s air forces.

After a brief welcoming ceremony at the Ataturk airport of Istanbul, President Grybauskaite left the airport to attend the Turkish-Lithuanian Cooperation Forum.

Later on Lithuanian President visited Istanbul’s historical and touristic places such as Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet Mosque and Topkapı Palace were among places that guest President visited in Istanbul.

Dalia Grybauskaite is expected to leave Turkey today.
