Baku: The first European Games is going to be a historical event, and I can’t wait to represent my country and have another chance to make history, Ireland’s female boxer Katie Taylor, who is currently preparing to head to Baku to compete at the first European Games, said in an interview with Herald.ie.

“I’m five-time world champion, six-time European champion, five-time European Union champion and Olympic champion – I go into every competition expecting to win the gold medal,” she said.

“There’s a lot of pressure on me going into the European Games and I enjoy that pressure,” she continued, adding that she wants to be the best female boxer of all time and make history in the sport.

According to Herald.ie , the European Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees of Europe.
