Iranian woman found dead at hotel in İstanbul

An Iranian national named Simin Khademi ,68, who has been reported as schizophrenic and cancer, was found to have been stabbed in her chest in İstanbul’s Beyoglu in late night hours of Tuesday. Having been found by his son, Khademi had lost her life at the scene.

The incident took place at a hotel, located in Sehit Ahmat dead-end in Cihangir neighborhood at around 6:00 p.m. According to the claims, Khademi had come to İstanbul with her husband and son for the treatment. Reportedly, receiving cancer and schizoid treatment, Khademi entered the bathroom and stabbed herself when her husband and son were not at the hotel.

Arriving at hotel in the evening, husband and son came across the dead bloody body of Khademi. They later reported the incident to the police and the paramedics. Over the report, police and the paramedics arrived at the hotel. Paramedics determined that the old woman had already died.

The dead body of Khademi was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) for an autopsy.
