Iran to build cultural center in the heart of Istanbul

ISTANBUL (CIHAN)- Iran is planning to build an 8,000-square-meter cultural institute in the center of Istanbul with the intention of promulgating Iranian culture.

According to a tender notice published in the Sabah daily by the Iranian authorities, the building will be constructed on 2,793 square meters of land in Istanbul’s Fatih district.

The notice also states that offers will be accepted via a sealed-bid tender. “How the tender will be held is the prerogative of those concerned since this tender will not be held within the framework of Law No. 2886 on Public Tenders,” read the notice.

The land is located on KIzIlelma Street in Fatih’s FIndIkzade quarter. The tender is set to take place at the Iranian Consulate General on April 21.
