Internal troops control situation in Nardaran

Baku: Internal troops are controlling the situation in the Nardaran township of Baku.

Police posts in the entrance and exit of the township haven’t been removed yet. All entering and leaving Nardaran are checked by the police. There is no restriction on entry of Nardaran residents to the township.

Nardaran resident Natig Karimov told APA that stability reigns in the settlement. “Everyone does his (or her) own thing. Some residents were detained under the criminal case launched on the incident. Some of them were released, but some sentenced to administrative arrest,” he noted.

Karimov also said that the electricity supply hasn’t been restored yet. “Work is underway to renew the meters. We hope the electricity supply will be restored soon,” he added.
