France to launch digital network platform for Francophone Turks

The event will be held at the French Palace — located in the Beyoglu neighborhood of İstanbul — and will start around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 for 300 quests, with Turkish actor, showman, theater director and photographer Okan Bayulgen among those who will give a speech during the event.

The France Alumni project and its local expansions were designed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and Campus France — a governmental body established to develop and promote French universities and vocational education — upon a desire by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius to unite international students in a common network.

The project also aims at forming associations between Francophone Turks in the areas of economy and academia to build more companies and universities to develop the country. The platform’s goal is to form a qualitative and efficient business network to improve and protect the connection between French and Turkey.

Turkey is one of a dozen countries chosen by the ministry to experiment a local expansion of the project.
