Five injured in head-on collision in Istanbul

ISTANBUL: Two vehicles collided head-on in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district, which left five people injured on Thursday.

The incident took place at around 9: 30 a.m. on coastal road. Reportedly, driver of a luxury car lost control of his vehicle and hit a minibus coming from the opposite direction. A fire broke out in the car in which the driver was stuck. A group of workers pulled him from the vehicle. Three passengers and minibus driver were injured at the end of the incident.

Traffic was paralyzed for half an hour until vehicles were removed. Police launched an investigation into the incident.
