Explosion injures seven in pro-Kurdish HDP offices in southern Turkey

ADANA: At least seven people were wounded at the end of an explosion which took place at election office of pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party on Monday evening.

A fire broke out due to the explosion in the building. The office and nearby workplaces were damaged after the explosion.

Police units were dispatched to the scene to maintain security in the neighborhood. Large numbers of HD supporters arrived at the scene over the incident. Medical staff took the injured to the hospital.

HDP Provincial Co- chairman Huseyin Beyaz stated that the explosion took place while they were having meeting. According to him, the attack was carried out by some provocateurs to stop their election campaign. “Such provocative incident can never dismay us. We will carry out our works,” said Beyaz.
