“European Games, great responsibility for me”, Marina Nekrasova

Question: Tell us how you got involved in gymnastics. Why did you choose this sport?

Marina: It was a long time ago; the parents took me to the gym, I was only 3,5 years old. At this age, I was not able to choose anything, so I believe that parents made the choice. While growing up, I began to realize how beautiful and unusual this sport is!

Q: How do you think, could you perform in any other sport?

Marina: I could try, but I cannot leave gymnastics.

Q: How do you deal with your emotions on the day of competition? Have you any special secrets of self-control?

Marina: I try not to bring out emotions and feelings to the [gymnastics] floor, and deal with them at home.

Q: What do you think is the most important aspect in any sport?

Marina: The most important things are the longing for, the wish and patience.

Q: How dangerous is to be engaged in professional sports, or does it depend on the sport?

Marina: It depends on the sport a lot; the most important is to approach deliberately to training.

Q: Do you have an idol in the sport?

Marina: I do not highlight anyone, but there are many athletes worthy of respect!

Q: Tell us about your sports plans for the near future.

Marina: World Cup Series and European Games are in the plans for the near future. Sure, there are other events, about which I have not think yet.

Q: What do the European Games mean for you and how do you prepare for them?

Marina: The European Games is the reason why I came back into the sport. It will be of great responsibility for me, so I will train as hard as I can to achieve positive results!

Q: If we move a little bit away from sport – do you have any aspirations or dreams that you want to achieve?

Marina: My dream is to get to the Olympic Games.

Q: Are you able to combine sport with normal life?

Marina: Yes, I do. If one desires, it is possible to combine everything (laughing)

Q: Tell us about your family.

Marina: My family is big and friendly. They worry about me and support me every day.

Q: Do you have a loved one?

Marina: It is difficult to hide a loved one – everyone will know about it!

Q: What do your fans usually shout, and want do you want to hear from them?

Marina: Usually at the competition, I am focused on the performance. My fans know what to scream (laughing).

Q: What would you like to tell them?

Marina: Thank you for your support because you are a certain part of my performance!
