Erdogan, Aliyev open school called Heydar Aliyev in eastern Turkey

KARS: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili attended THE YOK opening ceremony of an Anatolian technical vocational high school which is named after Haydar Aliyev in eastern province of Kars on Tuesday.

Erdogan along with his Azerbaijani and Georgian counterparts, who are on a visit in Turkey to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), attended the opening ceremony of the school which is named after Azerbaijan’s national leader and current President Ilham Aliyev’s father, Haydar Aliyev. Presidents of both brother countries Azerbaijan and Turkey made a speech during the ceremony. Taking the floor first, Ilham Aliyev underscored the strong ties between the two countries and expressed his appreciations for perpetuating of his father’s name.

In his turn, Erdogan stated that the school was actually put into the service in 2013 but they are only having now this great opportunity to officially open the school. Erdogan also mentioned about the brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkey citing Haydar Aliyev’s famous quote “we are two countries of one nation”.
