Do tax payers finance election campaigns?Prime Minister and presidential candidate Recep Tayyip ErdoIan traveled in the Prime Ministry’s ANA airplane to Hatay province as part of his election campaign tour last Sunday. He also flew with ANA to Ordu on Saturday.

ANA is an A319-115X CJ model business jet. The prime minister is not only using ANA for his presidential campaign, but also the Prime Ministry’s helicopter, called OBA, for short-distance destinations.

For instance, he went to a rally in Bursa from Istanbul in OBA last Friday. Likewise, on Sunday, he went to Iskenderun from Hatay using OBA.

This is an American-made Sikorsky S-92 helicopter that is registered as part of the National Police Department’s inventory. ErdoIan did not go to Hatay to perform duties as a prime minister he went there to hold a rally and to convince Hatay residents to vote for him in the presidential election, which means he went there for a personal reason.
