’Culture centers are more important than pipelines between Turkey and Russia’

MOSKOVA (CIHAN)- Mihail Meyer, the head of the Asian-African Studies Center at Moscow State University, stated that bridges of culture established between Turkey and Russia are more important than projects on energy pipelines between the countries.

Speaking to Cihan news agency, Meyer commented on some Turkish diplomats who criticized Culture Centers and Turkish Olympiads established by entrepreneurs affiliated with Hizmet Movement. According to Meyer some politicians who stayed at power often think they know all the truths and try to take everything under their control, a situation which resulted in serious mistakes.

Meyer pointed out that relationships in area of tourism and politics have developed greatly and culture centers established in Russia are more important than establishing pipelines between the two countries. “Today, activities initiated by Turkish-Russian culture centers are very pleasing,” added Meyer.
