Christians in Erbil react to church rejecting asylum offer of France

ERBIL (CIHAN)- Christian people, who fled Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL) attacks in Mosul, react to Iraqi Kurdistan Church which declined asylum invitation of France.

Christians now are placed in Karakus town of Erbil. Living under hard conditions, Christian people say the church ignored their interests.

Speaking to Cihan news agency, one of the refugees named Nebil Suleyman stated that reject of the church upset them a lot since they want to leave Iraq as soon as possible and added that the church took such a decision just to protect its own interests. “ISIL seized all of our belongings. We live in rented houses here, but we don’t have enough Money. Future of our children is in danger here,” said Suleyman.
