Bus hits herd, perishing 13 animals in Ankara

A passenger bus en route to Mersin from Ankara hit a cattle herd on early Saturday, which injured five passengers and perished 13 animals.

The incident took place on Ankara-Adana highway. Driver of the bus hit animals when a herd got on the road suddenly. When the driver turned the wheel hard, the vehicle went up the iron guard railing.

Passengers were able to get out of the vehicle by their own means. At the end of the incident, five passengers were injured and 13 animals perished.

Police and ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Passengers continued their journey with another bus.
