Bulgarian Energy Minister: “Bulgaria may import gas from Azerbaijan”

Baku: Bulgaria, almost totally dependent on Russian gas supplies, looks over hydrocarbon imports from Azerbaijan, APA reports citing BBC.

According to the Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria Dragomir Stoynev, Sofia is closely following the developments in Ukraine, which could lead to interruptions in the supply of Russian gas.

Earlier Bulgaria agreed about getting one billion cubic meters of gas per year from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field in the Caspian Sea since 2019.
