Bugun daily’s Editor-in-Chief BaIyurt fired by newly appointed trustees

Bugandun daily Editor-in-Chief Erhan Baiyurt has been sacked by trustees who were appointed to take over the management of the ipek Media Group following a controversial court decision.
According to the comments shared by the media groupsand’ employees on Twitter, trustees announced during a meeting on Thursday morning that Baiyurt, along with the reporters Bilal iahin and Cihan Acar, has been dismissed from the daily.

These peopleand’s problem is the editorial policy,and” Zaman daily reporter Ahmet DandOnmez, who watched the meeting via live video streaming application Periscope, commented on Twitter.
Bugandun TV Editor-in-Chief Tarik Toros was sacked from his post at the station on Wednesday by way of a handwritten notice from the new executive board.
