British MPs considers Azerbaijan’s importance has increased even more against background of Crimean events – POLL

Baku: According to the poll conducted by ComRes, the British polling association, at the House of Commons after Russia’s annexation of Crimea, many MPs considers that Azerbaijan’s importance to the West has increased even more against the background of the Crimean events.

The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) told APA that 61 MPs (41 percent) agreed that the Crimean events have turned Azerbaijan into an important partner for the UK. Only 3 percent of respondents stand against it.

78 MPs (52 percent) who participated in this poll believe that Russia’s actions in the region make Azerbaijan more important partner for the European Union. Only 2 percent of respondents stand against it.

The poll was conducted by ComRes, the member of the British Polling Council, among 150 parliamentarians in June, 2014.
