Baku hosts photo-exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev

A photo exhibition “Heydar Aliyev in the focus of Anatolian Agency and Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency”, depicting numerous photo materials kept in the archives of both agencies, opened at the Museum Center in Baku on December 11.

The photo-exhibition dedicated to the 11th anniversary of death of national leader Heydar Aliyev was organized by the Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Cultural Center.

The event began with the performance of the state anthems of both countries.

Ali Hasanov, Head of the Department for Public and Political Issues at the Presidential Administration made opening remarks, noting the role of Heydar Aliyev in rapprochement of the Turkish states.

“The national leader is in the hearts of all the Turkish nations,” he said.

Ali Hasanov regarded this exhibition as an indicator of deep respect for the rich heritage of Heydar Aliyev.

TRT General Director Şenol Göka, Director General of AzerTAc Aslan Aslanov, representative of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan Meral Barlas, aide to the director of Yunus Emre Institute Shenol Chobanoglu and Deputy Director General of Anatolian Agency Abubekir Shahin spoke about the work done by Heydar Aliyev in their speeches.

They especially stressed the contribution of Heydar Aliyev to strengthening the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The 3-day exhibition was attended by state and governmental dignitaries, Members of Parliament, public figures and the guests from the fraternal country.
