Baku hosting conference entitled ‘Turkish and Azerbaijani media: historical comparisons and transition from traditional media to online media’

Baku: A conference entitled “Turkish and Azerbaijani media: historical comparisons and transition from traditional media to online media” has today kicked off in Baku.

The conference was co-organized by the Press Council of Azerbaijan, State Fund for the Support of Mass Media Development under the President of Azerbaijan, Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Baku offices of Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency, TRT and Anatolia news agency.

The event started with a minute silence in memory of Heydar Aliyev. Head of Political and Public Affairs Department at the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, Chairman of Azerbaijani Press Council Aflatun Amashov, media chiefs and experts attend the conference that will consist of three sessions. TRT General Manager Senol Goka, Head of Press and Publication Department Ali Gunes, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Ankara Gazi University Zakir Afsar, director of «haber7.com» Ibrahim Erdogan and others are attending the event.

As part of the conference, media representatives of Turkey will participate in TV programs in our country, visit Guba mass burial site and meet with the students at Baku State University and Baku Slavic University.
