Azerbaijan’s Mammadyarov mulls ties with FMs of several countries

Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijan’s foreign policy head met with Victoria Nuland, U.S. assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

Mammadyarov met with Nuland at the U.S. side’s request within the NATO RS Ministerial in Antalya, Turkey on May 13, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said.

On the same day, he also held a number of meetings in Antalya, Turkey as part of the meeting of foreign ministers – NATO mission participating countries in Afghanistan.

During the meeting, Mammadyarov met with Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish foreign minister, Didier Reynders, Belgium’s minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Børge Brende, Norway’s foreign minister, Daniel Mitov, Bulgaria’s foreign minister, Miroslav Lajcak, Slovakia’s foreign minister and Vesna Pusic, Croatia’s deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign and European Affairs as part of the meeting.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.

Mammadyarov also addressed the Antalya meeting on May 13.
