Azerbaijani State Border Service starts large-scale exercises – Exercises will continue till May 21

Baku: In accordance with combat readiness program for 2015, aviation units and quick reaction forces of the State Border Service (SBS) started tactical exercises on neutralization of enemy units, terrorist and subversive groups violating the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan at “Aghgol” field training center, SBS press service told APA on May 19.

During the exercises, helicopters will execute combat tasks opening fires from guided and unguided missiles, enemy’s air targets will be destructed with portable anti-aircraft missile complexes and armored vehicles used in combat conditions.

The purpose of the exercises is to improve coordination between aviation units and quick reaction forces of the State Border Service, achieve a high level of interaction, train the joint venture of command units in actual combat conditions and instill in the personnel a love for the Motherland, faith in weapons and skills of endurance, steadfastness and courage in the battle.

Exercises will continue till May 21.
