Azerbaijani, Polish businessmen to meet in Baku

Baku will host an Azerbaijani-Polish business forum on December 15 as a delegation led by Poland`s deputy prime Minister Janus Piechocinski will visit the country.

The forum will involve nearly 30 Polish companies specializing in various areas of economy, AzerTag state news agency reported.

Poland recognized Azerbaijan’s independence on December 27, 1991. The diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on February 21, 1992.

The trade turnover between them amounted to 62.9 million mantas in the first nine months of 2014.

Poland considers Azerbaijan not only as its potential partner for cooperation in the agricultural sector, but also as a transit country for the sale of agricultural products to Iran.
