Azerbaijani MP expresses dissatisfaction with MG co-chairs’ activities

Baku: The IDPs are dissatisfied with the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, Elman Mammadov, MP from Khojaly said.

He made the remarks during the meeting with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in Baku on Oct.28.

“You are speaking quietly, because your houses were not burned and lands were not occupied. Residents of Nagorno-Karabakh cannot return to their lands for more than 20 years,” Mammadov said.

“We are concerned, since our lands have been under occupation for over 20 years and we can’t return to our homes,” said Mammadov.

He said that no single centimeter of the occupied lands has been returned as a result of the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“Your activities brought no results. I don’t believe in the results of your activities,” said Mammadov. “The reason is that the states you represent have their own interests in the South Caucasus and these interests clash.”

“As long as we are alive, we should arrange meetings and visit there, because, we and the Armenians living there know each other. You shouldn’t leave the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the young generation. Sometimes, your reports show that you also think like Armenians. However, it is Azerbaijan that is subjected to occupation,” he added, urging the co-chairs to distinguish between the aggressor and victim.
