Azerbaijan to assemble KamAZ vehicles

Baku: Azerbaijan’s Ganja Automobile Plant and Russia’s KamAZ plant signed several agreements on assembly of cars in Azerbaijan.

Under the agreement, Ganja Automobile Plant will start assembling heavy-duty vehicles with industrial method from the first half of 2015.

One of the agreements envisages the provision of spare parts for the assembly of vehicles in Azerbaijani plants. Ganja Automobile Plant and KamAZ plant signed a license agreement on the right to assemble KamAZ-43114, 4326, 43118, 65115, 65117, and 6520 models.

Production volumes will be announced soon.

The sides have agreed on the terms of warranty and post-warranty maintenance service planned in Baku and Ganja along with the assembly of “KamAZ” cars.

“KamAZ” ranks in the 11th place among the world’s manufacturers of heavy trucks and the 8th for the volume of diesel engines. The unit complex includes 12 large-scale plants of car production. The plant has more than 150 factories in Russia, CIS and abroad.

These cars are used in more than 80 countries of the CIS, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
